Deep Plum-Purple Underglaze for Defined Ceramic Colour
Purple Iris Cromartie Colours Underglaze gives ceramic decoration a deep plum-purple fired colour. The supplied sample shows a dark, muted violet tone with much more visual weight than a pale pastel purple, making it a useful choice for defined accents, broader colour areas and designs where a darker purple can provide clear contrast.
The 59ml variant is the smaller option for customers who want Purple Iris in a more compact quantity. Choose it when a deep fired purple suits the palette better than a light lilac or pink-purple tone. Cone 6 stoneware firing can create colour changes, so testing is sensible when matching the expected shade closely is important.
- Suitable for brushwork, sgraffito, sponging and layering
- Can be combined with Cromartie Crystals and other ceramic glazes
- For traditional Majolica techniques, apply over an opaque, non-moving glaze
