Deep Mauve-Purple Underglaze for Detailed Ceramic Colour
Mauvelicious Cromartie Colours Underglaze fires to a deep, muted mauve-purple in the supplied sample. The visible colour is darker and more saturated than a pale lilac, with a softened purple character that gives ceramic decoration clear depth while still reading as mauve. It is a useful colour choice when you want a subdued purple rather than a bright or very pale pastel result.
Choose Mauvelicious when you want a stronger purple-mauve within a fired ceramic colour palette. Cone 6 stoneware firing can create colour changes, so test the fired result when close colour matching is important or when you want to reproduce the supplied sample appearance consistently.
- Suitable for brushwork, sgraffito, sponging and layering
- Can be combined with Cromartie Crystals and other ceramic glazes
- For traditional Majolica techniques, apply over an opaque, non-moving glaze
