A suitable kiln stand raises an electric pottery kiln above the floor and supports it at the height intended for that model. At Cromartie, we stock stationary kiln stands and kiln stands with castors for selected KilnMaster, GlazeTech and other compatible kilns. Choosing the correct stand is important because sizes and fittings vary between models.
Our non-rolling kiln stands provide a raised, stationary base for compatible electric kilns. Different stands are available for selected 7-sided, 8-sided, 10-sided and 12-sided kiln models, including options for GlazeTech kilns. These are intended for kilns that remain in their usual position in the studio or workshop.
Kiln stands with castors offer greater flexibility where a compatible kiln needs to be repositioned when not in use, for example to clean underneath it or make better use of studio space. Our range includes rolling stand options for selected KilnMaster top-loading kilns. Check the individual product information for the correct model fit and stand features.
Kiln stands are model-specific, so the number of sides alone may not be enough to confirm compatibility. For example, the KM-0281 stationary stand is listed for certain 12-sided kilns but excludes the KM1231. We also list a separate stand for selected Cromartie CFL front-loading kilns. Always check the product listing and your kiln manufacturer's recommendations before choosing a replacement or alternative stand.
