Soft Lilac Underglaze for Detailed Ceramic Decoration
The supplied fired sample shows Lilac as a very pale pastel lilac, giving ceramic decoration a light and restrained colour rather than a strongly saturated purple. Its soft tone can be used for brushwork, sgraffito, sponged decoration and layered colour where a subtle lilac element is wanted within the finished design.
Choose this shade when you want a lighter lilac accent within a kiln-fired colour palette. It is applied to earthenware bisque before clear glazing and can be fired across the supplied Cone 06 to Cone 6 range. Cone 6 stoneware firing can create colour changes, so test the intended firing schedule when matching the expected pale result is important.
- Suitable for brushwork, sgraffito, sponging and layering
- Can be combined with Cromartie Crystals and other ceramic glazes
- For Majolica techniques, apply over an opaque, non-moving glaze
