Warm Red Underglaze for Detailed Ceramic Decoration
Red Robin Cromartie Colours underglaze gives fired ceramic decoration a vivid, warm red appearance. The supplied fired sample shows strong red colour with deeper definition around some edges and details, making it a useful choice for painted motifs, lettering, borders and designs that need a clearly defined red accent.
Its strong red character can create clear contrast alongside paler areas and other decorative colours. Red Robin can change colour when taken to Cone 6 stoneware temperatures, so testing the intended glaze and firing combination first is useful when a particular fired red needs to be repeated consistently.
- Suitable for brushwork, sgraffito, sponging and layering
- Can be combined with Cromartie Crystals and other ceramic glazes
- Can be used for Majolica techniques over an opaque, non-moving glaze
