Light Aqua-Blue Underglaze for Sgraffito and Sponging
Aqua Blue Cromartie Colours Underglaze produces a fresh, light aqua-blue fired colour that remains clearly visible against the white ceramic areas in the supplied sample. Its clean blue appearance suits open areas of colour as well as water, sky and coastal-inspired decoration, with brushwork and layering providing further ways to build designs.
This colour is a useful choice when a brighter aqua tone is preferred to a quieter pastel blue. Alongside brushwork, it can be used for sgraffito and sponging, while Cone 6 stoneware firing can alter the colour, making a test piece worthwhile when the final shade is important.
