Mineral Wash - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml
Mineral Wash is a deep ocean-toned Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create glossy mineral colour, kiln-fired movement and naturally varied results. This reactive stoneware glaze develops rich blue-green tones with darker depth, giving ceramic pieces a coastal, weathered finish.
With its moody mineral character, this glaze is ideal for potters looking for a stronger sea-inspired colour with plenty of natural variation. Mineral Wash works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured stoneware, especially where carved or raised areas can catch the reactive glaze movement.
- Colour & finish: Deep blue-green mineral tones with glossy reactive movement and darker variation
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Coastal stoneware, mugs, bowls, vases, planters, textured ceramics and statement pottery
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry
- Food safety: Food safe when fired to the manufacturer’s recommended temperature

Reactive glazes can move during firing, especially with thicker application or on vertical forms. Test first on your chosen clay body and avoid heavy application near the foot of the piece to help prevent running.
