Sea Mist - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml
Sea Mist is a soft coastal green-blue Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create glossy ocean-inspired colour with natural variation and kiln-fired movement. This reactive stoneware glaze gives pottery pieces a misty, sea-washed finish, ideal for atmospheric stoneware and coastal ceramic designs.
Its gentle sea-toned colour makes it a lovely choice for mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured pieces where you want a calm but interesting glaze surface. On carved or uneven forms, the reactive qualities can create subtle shifts in colour and depth, giving each finished piece its own character.
- Colour & finish: Soft sea mist green-blue with glossy reactive movement and tonal variation
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Coastal pottery, functional stoneware, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured ceramics
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry
- Food safety: Food safe when fired to the manufacturer’s recommended temperature

For best results, apply evenly and avoid very heavy application near the foot of the piece, as reactive glazes may move during firing. Always test first, particularly on vertical forms, textured clay or when combining with other glazes.
