Nightdrift - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml
Nightdrift is a deep black-blue Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create dark coastal colour, glossy movement and naturally varied fired effects. This reactive stoneware glaze develops shadowy night-sea tones in the kiln, giving pottery pieces a bold, atmospheric finish.
With its dramatic midnight character, Nightdrift is ideal for potters wanting a strong dark glaze with subtle reactive depth. It works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters, sculptural pieces and textured stoneware, especially where the glaze can collect in recesses and break around raised surfaces.
- Colour & finish: Deep black-blue night-sea tones with glossy reactive variation
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Statement pottery, dark coastal ceramics, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured stoneware
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry
- Food safety: Food safe when fired to the manufacturer’s recommended temperature

Reactive glazes can move and vary depending on clay body, glaze thickness and kiln conditions. For best results, test first and avoid applying too heavily near the foot of vertical pieces where running may occur.
