Ocean Slick - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml
Ocean Slick is a deep blue-black Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create glossy coastal colour, rich depth and naturally varied fired effects. This reactive stoneware glaze develops dark ocean tones with slick, glassy movement in the kiln, giving pottery pieces a bold, atmospheric finish.
With its smooth, shadowed sea-inspired character, Ocean Slick is ideal for potters wanting a dark glaze with subtle movement and strong visual depth. It works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters, sculptural pieces and textured stoneware, particularly where the glaze can pool around rims, carvings and surface detail.
- Colour & finish: Deep blue-black ocean tones with glossy reactive movement
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Statement stoneware, coastal pottery, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured ceramics
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry

Reactive glazes can vary depending on clay body, glaze thickness and kiln conditions. For best results, test first and avoid applying too heavily near the base of vertical pieces, as movement may occur during firing.
