Weathered Dune is a warm, natural Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, created to give ceramic pieces a soft sandy tone with glossy reactive movement. This reactive stoneware glaze develops earthy coastal variation in the kiln, making it perfect for potters looking for a calm, organic fired finish.
Inspired by sea-worn sand and weathered shoreline textures, this glaze works beautifully on thrown forms, hand-built pottery, textured bowls, mugs, vases and decorative stoneware. Its neutral warmth makes it a useful choice for both rustic pottery and more refined coastal-inspired ceramic designs.
- Colour & finish: Warm sandy beige with natural reactive variation and a glossy finish
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Coastal pottery, neutral stoneware, mugs, bowls, planters, vases and textured ceramics
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry
- Food safety: Food safe when fired to the manufacturer’s recommended temperature

Because reactive glazes can flow and break differently depending on the clay body, firing temperature and glaze thickness, we recommend testing first. Avoid heavy application close to the base of pots, especially on taller or vertical pieces.
