Ink Tide is a deep inky blue Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create dark coastal colour, glossy depth and naturally varied kiln-fired effects. This reactive stoneware glaze develops rich blue-black tones with subtle movement, giving pottery pieces a bold, tide-washed finish.
With its strong ocean-inspired depth, Ink Tide is perfect for potters wanting a dramatic blue glaze with an organic reactive surface. It works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters, sculptural ceramics and textured stoneware, especially where the glaze can pool and break around raised or carved detail.
- Colour & finish: Deep inky blue with glossy reactive movement and darker tonal variation
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Statement pottery, coastal ceramics, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured stoneware
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry
