Dark Rum - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml
Dark Rum is a warm amber-brown Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create rich fired colour, glossy depth and naturally varied kiln effects. This reactive stoneware glaze develops golden brown and dark rum-inspired tones, giving pottery pieces a warm, weathered coastal finish.
This glaze is a lovely choice for potters looking for a rich neutral with more warmth than a traditional brown glaze. Dark Rum works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured stoneware, especially where ridges, rims or carved detail allow the reactive glaze to deepen and pool.
- Colour & finish: Warm dark rum brown with amber tones and glossy reactive variation
- Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
- Best for: Rustic pottery, coastal stoneware, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured ceramics
- Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry

As with all reactive stoneware glazes, fired results may vary depending on glaze thickness, clay body and firing conditions. Test first before larger batches and avoid heavy application near the base of vertical pieces.
