Potfest South West returned to Shaftesbury in July 2026 for another brilliant weekend of ceramics. Held at Motcombe Turnpike Showground, midway between Shaftesbury and Gillingham, the event brought together outstanding makers, collectors, ceramic artists and clay enthusiasts.
Visitors discovered a wide range of handmade ceramics from around 90 selected potters and ceramic artists, from functional pottery to decorative work. It was a relaxed, friendly event where visitors could meet the makers, buy direct, and enjoy a weekend dedicated to clay.
Mark and Andy represented Cromartie at Potfest South West in Shaftesbury, where lots of customers came to chat about kilns, wheels, glazes, bisque, tools and studio supplies.
The stand featured show offers including discounted kilns and wheels, along with the exciting new Milton Bridge Studio Line by the Sea glazes, created in collaboration with Keith Brymer Jones.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new customers, and talk all things ceramics throughout the weekend.
As with other Potfest events, potters were invited to enter a piece responding to the show theme. Visitors were able to vote for their favourite on the day.
The competition added another creative highlight to the weekend and gave visitors the chance to see a wide variety of original work from participating potters.
