Cromartie Hobbycraft returned to Argillà Italia in September 2026 for an incredible few days celebrating ceramics in the historic Italian city of Faenza. Luke, Mark and Andy represented the Cromartie team at this internationally renowned festival, meeting ceramicists, makers and businesses from across the globe.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for ceramics, showcase the Cromartie range of kilns and connect with so many people from the international pottery and ceramics community.
Located in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, Faenza is internationally renowned for its colourful ceramic heritage dating back to the Renaissance. The town’s long-standing association with majolica — and the origin of the word faïence — makes it an especially fitting setting for one of the world’s leading celebrations of ceramic art.
Ceramic artists, makers and enthusiasts travelled from around the world to discover new work, exchange ideas and experience ceramics in all its forms in one of the historic capitals of ceramic art and craftsmanship.
Luke, Mark and Andy spent the weekend meeting visitors from across Europe and further afield, talking all things ceramics and introducing people to the Cromartie Hobbycraft kiln range.
We were delighted to see so many familiar faces as well as meet new ceramicists and businesses from across the international ceramics community. A special thank you goes to David from Milton Bridge and Bon Creationz for stopping by to see the team.
Luke and Andy with David from Milton Bridge and Bon Creationz at Argillà Italia 2026.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came over to talk to Luke, Mark and Andy during the festival. It was a brilliant few days in Faenza and a wonderful chance to share ideas, talk about kilns and ceramics, and spend time with people who are every bit as passionate about clay as we are.
Faenza’s beautiful piazzas, artisan workshops and extraordinary ceramic heritage provided the perfect backdrop for the festival, and we were delighted to be part of Argillà Italia 2026.
