Potfest in the Pens brings a relaxed, down-to-earth ceramics fair to Melton Mowbray, with potters, collectors and pottery lovers coming together to enjoy handmade work and meet the makers.
We loved being at Potfest in the Pens and meeting everyone who visited our stand. We had a fantastic time showcasing our kilns, bisque, glazes, underglazes, tools and studio essentials, and chatting with visitors about pottery, studio equipment and Paint Your Own Pottery.
Following the ethos of the original Cumbrian Potfest in the Pens events, the Melton Mowbray fair offered a relaxed setting where visitors could meet potters and browse a varied mix of work, from functional tableware to sculptural and experimental ceramics.
Exhibitors displayed their work in individual metal pens within the market buildings, creating a series of mini-galleries under cover. The indoor setting, with food and drink available on site and free parking, made it an enjoyable day out for pottery lovers, collectors and anyone looking for distinctive handmade pieces.
