Food safe if applied and fired to manufacturers instructions. Recommended firing temp: 1240°C – 1280°C (Cone 7 – 9).
Our stoneware glazes really come to life on textured surfaces, and are available in 250ml ready-mixed liquid form, or 1kg/25kg powdered.
1kg & 25kg Powder –Recommended mixing ratio: 1 part powder: 0.75 part water: 0.5 part medium.
Brush on (250ml liquid)– Ready mixed for easy application.
Colours can vary depending on the clay body, application and firing process.
The glaze is made from industry standard, high quality materials which are used by tableware and sanitaryware manufacturers.
No clay is contained in any of these glaze recipes meaning the glaze may appear more runny than other brands. Instead, an optimal brushing medium is used, which gives excellent adhesion of the glaze to the body. The medium also extends the shelf life of the glaze, reduces settling and deposits as well as reducing crazing when fired.
