Blue-Grey Powdered Glaze for Textured Stoneware

Iron Chun Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze develops a blue-grey fired surface with muted olive and charcoal variation across the visible sample. Darker colour gathers around the impressed decoration while lighter blue-grey areas remain across the surrounding surface, giving carved, stamped and textured pottery useful tonal definition without relying on an even single-colour result.

Choose Iron Chun when you want a cooler, subdued stoneware colour with natural-looking variation across surface detail. The 1kg dry format is well suited to testing and smaller batches; because the finished result can respond to the ceramic body, application and kiln conditions, establish the appearance on representative test pieces before glazing important work.

  • Compare smooth and textured test pieces to see how the colour responds around surface detail.
  • Use the intended ceramic body when preparing representative test tiles.
  • Keep a labelled fired sample for comparison with later batches.
