Deep Brown Mottled Dry Glaze for Stoneware Pottery
Dijon Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze produces a deep earthy brown fired surface with olive-gold mottling and softly varied areas visible across the fired sample. This natural colour movement can complement thrown vessels, textured forms and relief decoration, where raised or recessed details can remain visually distinct against the darker surrounding glaze.
Choose Dijon when you want a darker, earth-toned stoneware colour with more visual variation than a flat single-colour brown. For important work, prepare a test piece first so you can assess the fired appearance with your own application and kiln conditions before glazing a larger batch.
- The glaze recipe contains no clay
- Brushing medium supports adhesion to the ceramic body
- The medium helps extend shelf life and reduce settling
- Brushing medium also helps minimise crazing during firing
