Warm Sand Powdered Glaze for Subtle Stoneware Colour
Sand Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze develops a warm sandy ochre-brown surface with fine darker speckling and gentle tonal variation. The understated earthy colour works particularly well where you want the form, carved marks or surface texture of the pottery to remain an important part of the finished piece rather than being dominated by a strong glaze colour.
The 1kg format provides a manageable quantity of this dry stoneware glaze for smaller batches or glaze testing. Because the fired result can change with clay body, application and firing conditions, compare test pieces before using it across important work and keep the preparation consistent when you want to reproduce a previous result.
- Use test pieces to compare the glaze on your intended clay body.
- Record mixing and firing details when repeatability is important.
- Keep a fired reference sample for comparison with later batches.
