Deep Violet Dry Glaze for Stoneware Pottery
Eggplant Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze creates a rich violet-purple fired colour with fine lighter speckling visible across the supplied sample. Blue-violet tones become more noticeable around the raised decoration, helping carved, impressed and relief details stand out against the darker surrounding colour while retaining an atmospheric, varied appearance.
This 1kg dry format is suited to makers who want to prepare a smaller quantity of Eggplant glaze from powder. The glaze is mixed with water and medium before application, giving you a practical alternative to the ready-mixed liquid range while retaining the high-temperature firing requirements of the Milton Bridge dry stoneware range.
- The glaze recipe contains no clay
- Brushing medium supports adhesion to the ceramic body
- The medium helps reduce settling and extend the prepared glaze's shelf life
- It also helps minimise crazing during firing
