Soft Floral Lilac Mid-Fire Pottery Glaze
Wisteria LoStone Mid-Fire Glaze by Valentine Clays brings a delicate
lilac colour to ceramic surfaces, inspired by soft floral shades.
Its subtle colour complements both the lighter and earthy tones
within the LoStone clay range. Supplied in a 550ml brush-on bottle,
Wisteria can be used individually or combined with other glazes
in the collection.
Wisteria has an overall firing range of 1080°C–1220°C,
becoming reactive between 1120°C and 1220°C. It is fully
intermixable with every colour in the LoStone glaze collection and
can be layered to explore different finishes, using no more than
three coats in total. Developed to complement LoStone clay, it can
also be used with compatible porcelain and earthenware bodies.
Wisteria may show greater shade variation on LoStone Ember, Shale
and Dune because of the higher iron oxide content of these clay
bodies. Application and individual firing conditions can also
influence the result, so always make a test tile with your chosen
clay, glaze combination and firing temperature before glazing
a finished piece.
