Clear Mid-Fire Pottery Glaze for Clay and Decoration
Transparent LoStone Mid-Fire Glaze by Valentine Clays adds a clear glazed finish while allowing the natural colour and character of the clay beneath to remain visible. Use it to showcase the distinctive LoStone clay palette or over suitable decoration. Supplied in a 550ml brush-on bottle, this clear pottery glaze has an overall firing range of 1080°C–1220°C, with its finish influenced by firing conditions across the range.
Developed to complement LoStone clay, Transparent can also be used with compatible porcelain and earthenware bodies. It is fully intermixable with the coloured glazes in the LoStone collection and can be layered, using a maximum of three coats in total. A reusable inner cap helps prevent leaks and keeps the glaze securely sealed between uses. Always choose a firing temperature suitable for both your clay and glaze, and test your chosen clay, decoration and glaze combination on a tile before glazing a finished piece.
