Woodland-Inspired Dark Green Mid-Fire Pottery Glaze
Fern LoStone Mid-Fire Glaze by Valentine Clays brings a rich,
woodland-inspired dark green to ceramic surfaces. Its earthy colour
complements the LoStone clay palette, making it a natural choice
for botanical designs and pottery inspired by the colours of the forest.
Supplied in a 550ml brush-on bottle, Fern can be used individually
or combined with other glazes in the LoStone collection.
Fern has an overall firing range of 1080°C–1220°C,
with reactive qualities developing between 1120°C and
1220°C. Intermix it with other LoStone glazes to explore new
shades, or layer colours to create different finishes, using a
maximum of three coats in total. Developed to complement LoStone
clay, it can also be used with compatible porcelain and earthenware
bodies. Always test your chosen clay, glaze combination and firing
temperature before applying it to a finished piece.
