Deep Blue-Black Mid-Fire Pottery Glaze
Midnight LoStone Mid-Fire Glaze by Valentine Clays brings a deep
blue-black colour to ceramic surfaces, inspired by the darkest
night skies. Its rich, dramatic shade creates a striking finish
used individually and offers contrast alongside lighter colours
in the collection. Supplied in a 550ml brush-on bottle, Midnight
can also be mixed or layered with other LoStone glazes.
Midnight has an overall firing range of 1080°C–1220°C,
becoming reactive between 1120°C and 1220°C. Blend it with
other colours in the LoStone collection to explore new shades,
or experiment with layering using a maximum of three coats in
total. Developed for use with LoStone clay, it is also suitable
for compatible porcelain and earthenware bodies. Always test your
chosen clay, glaze combination and firing temperature before
glazing a finished piece.
