Aventurine - Speedball Studio Plus Glaze 473ml
Aventurine is a rich teal Speedball Studio Plus speciality glaze with attractive mottled variation. Its deep blue-green tones make it ideal for botanical pottery, ocean-inspired ceramics, woodland themes, textured decorative pieces, mugs, bowls, plates and statement pottery.
Part of the Speedball Studio Plus glaze range, Aventurine is one of the speciality low-fire mottling colours. When fired at Cone 06/05, it produces a glossy rich teal finish with mottled colour variation. The effect can appear on flat surfaces but becomes much more pronounced over carved, stamped or textured areas.
Aventurine is easy to apply and can be layered with other Speedball Studio Plus glazes when firing at low-fire temperatures, allowing ceramic artists to build varied colour effects and more expressive glazed surfaces.

As a speciality mottling glaze, fired results may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, surface texture and kiln conditions. We recommend testing first when using Aventurine on a new clay body or layering it with other glazes.
