Icy Blue Gloss Mid-Fire Glaze with Deep Red Mottling

Dragon Stone Speedball Mid-Fire Glaze develops a glossy icy blue surface broken by cascading deep-red mottling. The contrast becomes especially noticeable across textured detail, where the blue and red areas create a highly varied fired surface rather than a flat single colour.

Choose Dragon Stone when you want control over how strongly the red mottling appears. The supplied firing guide shows two coats producing blue with some red, while four coats can create much more extensive red mottling. It is also designed for layering, with the supplied Cone 6 examples showing distinctly different results over several other Speedball Mid-Fire colours.

Stir thoroughly before use and apply each coat evenly.
For the supplied layering examples, apply two coats of Dragon Stone over two coats of the chosen base glaze and fire to Cone 6.
Thicker application can increase the visible mottling and red response.
Follow the specific firing and glazing instructions for your kiln and process.

Subject to exceptions, we are happy to accept returns of incorrectly ordered or mispicked items within 28 days of delivery. Your 28 day period begins on the date shown at the top of your invoice. When returning items to us, please include a note or copy of your sales order or invoice with your goods to enable us to process your refund. Goods must be returned in a fully resaleable condition and any lids, packaging and labels must be intact.
