Onyx - Speedball Studio Plus Glaze 473ml
Onyx is a rich black Speedball Studio Plus glaze with beautifully smooth coverage and a strong glossy finish. Its deep, dramatic colour makes it ideal for monochrome pottery, lettering, outlines, Halloween designs, contemporary tableware, decorative mugs, plates and bold statement pieces.
Part of the Speedball Studio Plus glaze range, Onyx produces a glossy rich-black finish at both low-fire and mid-fire temperatures. It can be used individually for striking contrast or mixed with other Studio Plus glazes to create unique custom colours for your ceramic palette.
When fired at Cone 5/6, the rich black colour remains true, although the glaze may move or blend depending on the firing temperature, layering and application thickness. Test tiles are recommended when using glaze combinations at mid-range temperatures.

Fired results may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, glaze combinations and kiln conditions. We recommend testing first when using Onyx on a new clay body, mixing colours or layering glazes for a mid-fire firing.
