Plumberry Ember - Speedball Studio Plus Glaze 473ml
Plumberry Ember is a rich purple-brown Speedball Studio Plus speciality glaze with flashes of golden-yellow mottling. Its warm, dramatic colouring makes it ideal for autumn pottery, woodland designs, moody decorative ceramics, textured tableware, mugs, bowls, plates and statement pieces with deep natural character.
Part of the Speedball Studio Plus glaze range, Plumberry Ember is one of the speciality low-fire mottling colours. When fired at Cone 06/05, it develops a glossy purple finish with brown undertones and distinctive golden-yellow mottling. The mottled effect appears on flat surfaces but becomes much more pronounced over carved, stamped or textured areas.
Plumberry Ember is easy to apply and can be layered with other Speedball Studio Plus glazes when fired at low-fire temperatures, allowing ceramic artists to create richer colour combinations and more expressive surface effects.

As a speciality mottling glaze, fired results may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, surface texture and kiln conditions. We recommend testing Plumberry Ember first on a new clay body or when layering it with other glazes.
