Our Fairy Dust shimmer glazes add a beautiful touch of sparkle to your ceramic projects. Each colour in this range contains fine glitter particles that create a shimmering, faceted effect on both smooth and textured bisqueware. Whether you're designing fantasy pieces, children’s pottery, Christmas decorations, galaxy themes or simply adding a subtle highlight to your work, these glazes offer a unique magical finish.
Apply them like underglazes: 1–2 coats give a soft translucent shimmer, while 3 coats create full, vibrant colour with rich sparkle. Works beautifully on embossed, carved, or patterned bisque as the glitter settles into the recesses, enhancing detail with gemstone-like highlights.
These glazes can be combined with other glazes and overglazes, and are food-safe when fully coated (three solid coats) or topped with a nontoxic clear glaze. Use dedicated brushes to avoid transferring glitter into other glaze colours or dipping tanks.
Firing Range: Fire to Cone 06 (approx. 999°C).
