Frost LoStone is a smooth, off-white low-fire stoneware clay supplied in 10kg bags. It has a clean, refined surface that suits both functional and decorative pieces, while its 1060ºC–1220ºC firing range delivers true stoneware strength at lower kiln temperatures. Frost gives you the look and durability of high-fire stoneware with a more energy-efficient firing schedule.

With a very smooth, responsive feel, Frost LoStone centres easily on the wheel, trims cleanly and releases well from moulds, making it ideal for studio potters, schools and teaching workshops. The body typically vitrifies at around 1160ºC, producing a dense, durable surface that accepts a wide range of stoneware and mid-fire glazes. Its fresh off-white colour offers a bright, versatile base for slips, stains and oxides, helping glaze colours appear clear and vibrant across the low stoneware firing range.
