Drift LoStone Clay – Off-White Low-Fire Stoneware (10kg)
Drift LoStone Clay is an off-white, speckled low-fire stoneware body supplied in 10kg bags. The smooth, responsive clay throws and hand-builds cleanly, while the light speckling creates a soft, natural surface across its 1060ºC–1220ºC firing range. It offers true stoneware strength at lower kiln temperatures, making it a practical choice for studio potters, schools and teaching workshops.

Drift LoStone has a fine, silky texture that is easy to centre and trim, with enough strength for larger thrown forms and detailed modelling work. Vitrifying at around 1160ºC, it produces a durable, dense stoneware body while using less energy than traditional high-fire clays. The soft off-white tone and delicate speckling give an understated, contemporary look and provide an excellent base for a wide range of slips, stains and glazes, making this clay a versatile option for functional ware and decorative pieces alike.
