About Potfest in the Pens – Autumn

The Original Potters’ Market in the UK, established in 1994.

This friendly, down-to-earth event featured a mix of established ceramic artists and emerging makers in a vibrant, creative marketplace — the perfect setting for autumn inspiration and early Christmas shopping.

Held under cover at Skirsgill Auction Mart, the event offered a relaxed space for potters and visitors to connect, sheltered from the unpredictable Cumbrian weather.

Potters’ Competition

Each Potfest event includes a special themed competition open to exhibitors. Visitors voted for their favourite piece, with a chance to win free entry to all Potfest events for life through the Potfest Passport prize.

Hybrid – a mixture of two different things, resulting in something that has a little bit of both.
