Bone China Casting Slip is a very smooth, very white casting slip designed for producing fine, translucent ceramic pieces. Supplied in a 5 litre container, this traditional British casting slip is known for its purity, whiteness and excellent translucency when fired correctly.
Bone China Casting Slip becomes translucent at around 1240°C. Care should be taken to fire to the correct temperature: too low and the translucency will not develop, while too high and the ware may slump. This makes it best suited to experienced makers or those prepared to test carefully before production.
