CH1070 Earthenware Ex-Cel Casting Slip - Cone 04 White Ceramic Casting Slip
CH1070 Earthenware Ex-Cel Casting Slip is a reliable white ceramic casting slip, widely used for slip casting earthenware bisque shapes and moulded ceramic pieces. Now supplied in 5 gallon tubs, this casting slip has been trusted for decades and is especially popular with customers using Duncan and Gare glazes.
Ex-Cel Casting Slip is designed to offer dependable casting performance and good compatibility with Duncan and Gare glaze ranges when fired correctly. Its thermal expansion is suited to these products, helping to reduce the risk of crazing when used and fired as recommended. It may also be compatible with other glaze ranges, but testing is advised before using for batch production.
Important formula notice
Due to some raw materials no longer being available, substitute raw materials are now used in the formula. You may notice slight differences in the setting times of the slip. We advise against mixing older slip with the new slip. However, batches of the same newer formula can be mixed together. The firing temperature remains the same, cone 04, to work with 06 glazes.
