Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray brings the much-loved Potfest atmosphere to the East Midlands, transforming the Melton Mowbray Market & Livestock Auction into a bustling indoor ceramics fair. Just a short walk from the town centre, the event gathers around 90 ceramic artists for a three-day autumn market – perfectly timed for early Christmas shopping and unique handmade finds.
The Cromartie team will be at Potfest in the Pens Melton Mowbray throughout the weekend with a trade stand stocked with kilns, bisque, glazes, underglazes, tools and studio essentials. Drop by our stand to chat about setting up or expanding a pottery studio or Paint-Your-Own Pottery studio, or to get advice on kiln choice, firing schedules, glazes and materials.
Collecting an Order from Our Trade Stand Place your order online and select collection at checkout, adding a note saying: “Collecting at Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray 2026.” We’ll bring it along for you to pick up from our stand during the show.
Due to transport and trade stand space limitations, all orders for event collection must be placed a minimum of three working days before the event.
If you are planning to place a larger order, including pallet quantities, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm transport arrangements and available space at the show.
Operating under the same ethos as the original Cumbrian Potfest in the Pens events, Melton Mowbray offers a relaxed, down-to-earth setting where visitors can meet potters directly and browse an exciting mix of work – from functional tableware to sculptural and experimental ceramics.
Exhibitors each occupy a large metal cattle pen within the market buildings, creating individual mini-galleries under cover from the weather. With hot food and drink on site, free parking and easy access from the town centre, it’s an ideal day out for pottery lovers, collectors and anyone looking for distinctive handmade gifts.
Tickets can be bought in advance via the Potfest website or on the gate each day. Parking is free with accessible parking available, and accompanied under 16’s go free – making it a great family-friendly ceramics event in the heart of Melton Mowbray.
