Warm Taupe Celadon Glaze with Subtle Tonal Depth
Taupe Studio Line Celadon Glaze gives stoneware a warm stone-brown surface with a translucent gloss finish. Smoother areas retain a quieter neutral tone, while carved, stamped and recessed details can gather deeper brown colour and leave raised sections lighter, helping texture remain visible across the fired piece.
Choose Taupe when you want a restrained warm neutral rather than an opaque brown finish. Studio Line Celadon colours can be intermixed to extend the palette, mixed with matt glazes for a satin look, or combined with Vibes reactive glazes when you want a stronger layered effect.
- Stir well and apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
- For a Cone 6 example, fire at around 175°C per hour to 1220°C, then adjust the programme to suit your kiln and desired finish.
