Warm Apricot Celadon Glaze for Carved & Textured Detail
Apricot Studio Line Celadon Glaze gives stoneware a warm apricot-orange surface with a translucent gloss finish. On carved, stamped and textured pieces, recessed areas can hold deeper, glossier colour while raised sections remain lighter, creating natural tonal contrast that helps surface detail stay visible.
Choose Apricot when you want a richer orange-leaning celadon colour without covering the piece in an opaque finish. Studio Line Celadon colours can be intermixed to extend the palette, mixed with matt glazes for a satin look, or combined with Vibes reactive glazes for stronger layered effects. Test glaze combinations before using them on important work.
- Stir well and apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
- Apply evenly to suitable stoneware bisque, particularly where carved, stamped or recessed detail is intended to remain visible.
- For a Cone 6 example, fire at around 175°C per hour to 1220°C, then adjust the programme to suit your kiln and desired finish.
