Powdered Raku Glaze for a White Crackle Effect

White Crackle Raku Glaze creates a white crackle-effect surface with a variable metallic appearance through the Raku firing process. It suits decorative ceramic pieces where the crackle response and natural differences between firings are intended to form a visible part of the finished design.

Choose the 1kg powder when you want to prepare the glaze for a selected application technique without moving to the larger 25kg quantity or the liquid brush-on format. Begin with the recommended ratio, add extra water gradually where needed and test the glaze before important work because its colour and appearance can vary considerably between Raku firings.

  • Mix thoroughly before adjusting the consistency
  • Add any extra water in small, controlled stages
  • Record the final mixture and application thickness for repeat tests
