Red Underglaze for Bisque Painting and Fired Ceramic Detail
Red Rover Gare Fun Strokes Underglaze gives bisque pottery a rich red fired colour for painted decoration, accents, simple motifs and broader colour areas. It is a useful choice when building a kiln-fired underglaze palette for pottery painting and ceramic decorating projects.
Apply to shelf Cone 04 bisque after sponging the ware to remove dust, then cover with clear glaze before firing to shelf Cone 06. Use one coat for a more translucent colour or build with 2–3 coats for opaque coverage. For more colours in the same range, browse Gare Fun Strokes Underglazes.
- Useful for adding red fired colour to bisque painting and ceramic decorating work
- Works for both lighter colour effects and stronger opaque coverage, depending on the number of coats applied
- Let each coat dry before adding the next, and test colour combinations before using them on important pieces
