Pale Grey Underglaze for Neutral Ceramic Detail
Tin Man Gare Fun Strokes Underglaze is a pale grey colour for bisque painting, useful when a design needs softer neutral detail rather than a strong black or bright colour. Use it for shading, outlines, simple motifs, background touches and quieter decorative areas.
Apply to shelf Cone 04 bisque after sponging the ware to remove dust. One coat creates a translucent colour effect, while 2–3 coats can be built for opaque coverage before clear glazing and shelf Cone 06 firing. Explore more colours in the Gare Fun Strokes Underglazes range.
- Useful for neutral fired detail, pale grey shading and subtle ceramic decoration
- Works well when building contrast without using a darker underglaze colour
- Test first when layering grey with brighter colours or changing clear glaze conditions
