Nautical Blue Underglaze for Bisque Painting
Anchors Away Gare Fun Strokes Underglaze is a bright blue colour for decorating bisque before clear glazing and firing. It is well suited to nautical details, cool-toned borders, painted patterns, lettering and bolder blue areas in pottery decorating projects.
Use it on shelf Cone 04 bisque after sponging the ware to remove dust. One coat gives a translucent colour effect, while 2–3 coats can be built for opaque coverage before clear glazing and shelf Cone 06 firing. Browse the wider Gare Fun Strokes Underglazes range when comparing blues with other fired underglaze colours.
- Useful for blue borders, nautical motifs, lettering and decorative colour blocks on bisque
- A practical option when building a cool blue section within a fired underglaze palette
- Let coats dry between layers and test with your chosen clear glaze before important pieces
