Warm Golden Glaze Effects for Textured Bisque
Prairie Gold Gare Pottery Glaze creates a warm golden fired surface with multi-tone colour variation and a high gloss shine. It is a useful choice for bisque pieces where you want a natural, layered look rather than a flat single-colour finish.
This low-fire pottery glaze works especially well on textured bisque, where the glaze can seep and pool into grooves to create depth and surface interest. Layering Gare pottery glazes can produce different colour blends and effects, so test pieces are recommended before using a new combination on important work.
- Sponge ware before glazing to remove dust from the bisque surface
- Shake the jar well before use for a more consistent application
- Best treated as a variable glaze effect rather than an exact repeatable flat colour
