Cromartie Stoneware Clear Brush-On Glaze – Transparent Gloss for Stoneware & Porcelain

For potters working with stoneware and porcelain, Cromartie Stoneware Clear Brush-On Glaze delivers a smooth, transparent and glossy finish that enhances colour and surface detail without clouding your decoration. It is a dependable choice for studios and makers wanting a clear glaze with excellent clarity and durability.

This brush-on glaze applies easily and usually needs just one or two coats. It fires cleanly across a wide range from cone 5/6 (approximately 1230°C) up to cone 10, performing well in both oxidation and reduction firings. It moves just enough in the kiln to create depth and shine while remaining stable and easy to manage.

Pro tip: apply thin, even coats for the best results. Heavier applications may increase the chance of crazing, while lighter coats usually produce the clearest and most consistent glass-like finish.
