18 Inch Hydro-Bat Potters Wheel Batt for Large Thrown Forms
The 18 inch Hydro-Bat is a large potters wheel batt for throwing dinner plates, wide bowls, platters and other larger ceramic forms. Made from Hydro-Stone plaster, it gives potters the absorbent release of a traditional plaster batt with added durability for regular studio use.
Hydro-Bats are designed to draw moisture from the base of thrown pots, helping work release from the batt without needing to cut through the bottom with a wire. The two rubber grommets help keep the batt securely positioned on the wheel pins, making this a practical choice for plate throwing, production pottery and larger wheel work.
