Our top-loading kiln thermocouples are designed for accurate temperature measurement and reliable firing results in
Cromartie and other compatible top-loading kiln models. Using a high-quality thermocouple ensures your kiln controller
receives the correct temperature readings throughout the firing cycle, helping maintain consistency, repeatability, and
even heat distribution.
Thermocouples should always be installed so the tip protrudes at least 1 inch into the kiln chamber.
This ensures the reading is taken from the correct point inside the kiln and prevents temperature inaccuracies.
If you are replacing an existing thermocouple, always check for signs of wear, corrosion, breakage or deterioration.
Damaged or incorrectly positioned thermocouples can cause uneven firings, controller errors or incorrect temperature readings.
