Glossy Pale Stoneware Glaze for Subtle Surface Detail
Glossy Dolomite gives the supplied fired sample a pale cream to off-white surface with a smooth reflective sheen. Its light, restrained colour keeps the raised leaf decoration clearly visible without introducing a strong contrasting hue, making it a useful choice for stoneware pieces where carved lines, relief work and the shape of the ceramic form are intended to remain an important part of the finished design.
Choose this dry glaze when you want a light glossy finish rather than a strongly coloured stoneware surface. The clay-free glaze recipe uses brushing medium as part of its preparation, helping the mixed glaze adhere to the ceramic body, reducing settling, extending shelf life and helping to minimise crazing during firing.
- Contains no clay in the glaze recipe
- Brushing medium supports adhesion and helps reduce settling
- Mix thoroughly before applying up to 3 coats
