Warm Rust-Brown Stoneware Glaze with Dark Mottled Detail
Walnut Milton Bridge Stoneware Glaze develops a warm rust-brown fired colour with darker mottled variation across the surface. On the fired sample, deeper brown gathers around the leaf relief and appears in fine irregular markings through the surrounding colour, helping carved, impressed or raised decoration stand out within an earthy palette.
Choose Walnut when you want a warm brown stoneware colour with more visual variation than a flat, uniform surface. Fired colour can vary depending on the clay body, application and firing process, so testing on the intended clay is useful when matching several pieces or working towards a particular fired result.
- Stir well before application.
- Apply up to 3 coats depending on the result required.
- Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.
