Reflective White Liner Glaze for Cone 6 Pottery
White Gloss C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze produces a smooth reflective white surface that can be used as a liner or as a clean base for overglaze decoration. Its gloss finish brings light to the fired piece while allowing throwing lines and gentle surface changes to remain visible beneath the glaze.
Choose this glaze when you want a reflective white rather than a lower-sheen matte finish. On darker clay bodies, a thin application can appear slightly grey as the clay beneath shows through, so establish the required coverage on the intended porcelain or stoneware body before glazing a full batch.
- Compare thin and fuller applications on the intended clay body.
- When brushing, consider adding a small amount of brushing medium first.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
