Warm Purple Semi-Matte Colour for Cone 6 Pottery
Orchid C6 Pro Series Stoneware Glaze produces a warm purple semi-matte surface with very subtle light pink undertones. The softly coloured finish allows throwing lines and gentle surface detail to remain visible, making it a useful choice for forms where shape should lead and the glaze should provide restrained colour.
Choose Orchid when you want a lower-sheen purple rather than a reflective gloss or strongly mottled effect. Clay body, application thickness, layering and kiln conditions can alter the fired result, so compare labelled test tiles on the intended porcelain or stoneware body before applying a new method or combination across important work.
- Compare even, thicker and layered applications on separate test tiles.
- Record the clay body and kiln conditions used for each test.
- Add Powder Gum Arabic as required for a thicker applied finish.
